needs to respond to the needs of its staff. Understanding what motivates employees and aligning it with organisation’s objectives is the essence of an effective performance management system. This system requires HR support, periodic appraisals and constructive coaching sessions.

Who Should Attend


This is a level 2 course targeted at individuals who have limited or no experience of conducting employee appraisal interviews. The blended learning approach provides a balance of theory, best practice and practical application of skills to help delegates develop the key skills in the techniques used in the delivery of a positive appraisal interview.

  • Understand the different approaches to appraisals

  • Understand the objectives and purpose of a performance appraisal interview

  • Learn how to hold a constructive appraisal meeting that helps to motivate the appraisee and maximise information transfer

  • Understand how to Deliver your potentially negative message and get a good response

  • Understand how to set efficient objectives that lead to productivity and address under-performance.
